Code of Conduct
Everyone in football has a responsibility to make the game Fair, Safe and Fun. Bourton Rovers Football Club are committed to this and in line with the FA RESPECT program has worked closely with our young players, committee members & coaches to come up with the following codes of conduct.
Parents Code of Conduct
Provide all children with positive remarks and actions, promoting fair play and good behavior.
Refrain from hostility or bad language towards other parents, coaches, opposition team or officials.
Allow club officials and coaches to carry out their duties.
Avoid coaching children during matches.
Ensure children are provided with the right clothes for conditions.
Provide transport to and from matches and training and help other parents where possible.
Attend training and matches when possible.
Respect the official’s decisions.
Give praise to all players on both sides.
Applaud the opposition as well as Bourton teams.
Make payment of training fees on time.
Respect and always adhere to the rules of the club.
Most Importantly…
Embrace the BRFC family values and get involved wherever possible.
PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
When playing football all players are expected to:
Respect all other players and coaches in both your team and opposition teams.
Play fairly – no cheating, complaining or wasting time
Respect the venues and equipment used at all times
Play by the rules as directed by the coach or referee
Be a supportive team member, always encourage other team members
Attend training and matches regularly
Be a responsible team member – by arriving prepared and when using training equipment
Understand and be gracious whatever the outcome – by shaking hands with the other team and referee at the end of a game
Be a positive team player – Remembering at all times that Together Everyone Achieves More
Talk to someone you trust at the club, either the Coaches or the Peer Mentor Coach if you are unhappy about anything at the club.
If the code is not followed any or all of the following actions may be taken:
Initial warning: a short time out to encourage you to refocus
Verbal warning: the coach will call you aside to speak to you about your behaviour
Talk with parents: the coach will speak to your parents/carers about your behaviour
In addition you may:
Be required to apologise to team mates, coach, other team or referee
Not be allowed to play in the next match
Be suspended from training for a set time
Be required to leave the club

Coaches Code of Conduct
Work with players, parents and the club to ensure suitable training and games exist for all players in their age group.
Lead by example and consistently display high standards of behaviour and appearance.
Place the well- being and safety of each player above all other considerations, informing parents of any illness or injury while the child is in the club's care.
No adults should take part in competitive games and only managers and appointed coaches are allowed on the field of play at any time.
Treat all children fairly and with respect, always encourage.
Give attention to children of all abilities ensuring our culture of no child left behind is maintained.
Provide structured and enjoyable training sessions at correct levels of difficulty.
Ensure clear lines of communication for players, parents and club officials.
Demonstrate fair play and respect to match officials.
Openly encourage parental involvement.
Reinforce and reward positive attitude and behaviour.
Give support and help to all new children, parents, managers and coaches.
Do not use bad language and ensure team and parents follow the same rules.
Avoid smoking while coaching.
Achieve minimum manager’s qualification as stipulated by the FA.
